September 7, 2017 – Mt. Prospect, IL - E-T-A Circuit Breakers is pleased to announce its new ETR10 Programmable ISO Mini Micro Controlled Solid State Relay. The ETR10 combines multiple functions into a single device which ultimately help vehicle designers: simplify vehicle control circuitry, increase battery efficiency and customize the operating requirements of the vehicle.
The ETR10 4-pin design fits into standard ISO Mini sockets (ISO 7588) and is suitable for 12/24 VDC vehicle electrical systems. It combines overcurrent protection, relay and timer (ON/OFF, blinking, pulsing or combo) functionality into a single device which reduces the number of connections in the circuit. Each ETR10 can be programmed individually based on the needs of the vehicle and the vehicle operator. This custom programming can help increase the efficiency of the vehicle battery and also maintain critical loads after the body control module is powered down.
The ETR10 can be remotely reset after an overload which makes it ideal for equipment in remote locations or in applications where the electrical system is not easily accessible to reset a relay. Unlike traditional electromechanical relays, the ETR10 does not have any mechanical parts. This allows the ETR10 to offer: infinite switching cycles, durability, silent switching and tolerance to shock, vibration and dust that are commonly present in the vehicle applications.
