Reliable protection for nut roasters
In the past, roasted almonds were traditionally prepared in copper pans, which conduct and retain heat extremely well, since a temperature of at least 150 °C is required to caramelise the nuts. In the past, stallholders had to stir the nuts by hand, today, this task is carried out by nut roasting machines. If these are fully electric, they are equipped with an electric heater and a drive motor for the stirring mechanism.
To avoid the risk of unnecessary damage, professional overcurrent protection is essential. Nut roasters are typically equipped with two circuit breakers: one to protect the drive motor for the stirring mechanism and one for the heating element.

Many manufacturers use the dual function of the E-T-A 3120-N circuit breaker/switch combination. It serves as the main on/off switch for the nut roaster. It also protects the drive motor against overload currents, for example if the stirring mechanism becomes jammed. The heating circuit is usually protected separately. E-T-A's 2-5700 thermal residual current circuit breaker is one suitable option.
Both circuit breakers are available with the well-proven PVC protective caps. This prevents dirt and water from getting inside the appliances.
