Growing demands in the marine industry regarding convenience and functionality on-board requires revolutionary electrical system contol and protection technology. In the market today, most features including power management, alarm systems or supervision are independent systems. E-T-A has merged all of these features into one package - the E-T-A PowerPlex.
This comprehensive system, programmed with Windows compatible software, significantly reduces the need for conventional wiring by mounting individual modules close to loads, while “peer-to-peer” communication via a CAN bus allows up to 30 PowerPlex units to function as a single control entity.
The system incorporates redundant protection, termed Four Level Protection Concept, or FLPC, and has integral diagnostic and monitoring functions. With no mechanical parts, semiconductors provide current limitation to ensure operating currents cannot exceed the custom programmed limits – even in the event of a short circuit.
