A family-owned business with a fine tradition

Horst Ellenberger, Carl Horst Poensgen and William F. Sell

E-T-A was founded in 1948 by Jakob Ellenberger und Harald A. Poensgen and has been owned by their families ever since.

Today E-T-A has approximately 1400 people on the payroll and a globe-spanning network of representatives and subsidiaries covering more than 60 countries.

Although E-T-A has become an internationally operating business, it is still led by the owner families in the second and third generation.

In the past six decades the following family members were/have been active members of the Executive Committee:
